Dropbox makes it easy to share files with coworkers or between your own computers.
I want to share a neat little program called Dropbox with you. It doesn’t really have anything to do with affiliate marketing, however, it does make my life a whole lot easier.
The little angel on my should tell me that I should tell you about the free 2gb offer, however, the marketer in me tell me that you will absolutely love this affiliate link to the free 14 day trial of Dropbox pro ![]()
Dropbox File Synchronization
I often need to bring files home from the office or share them with people in other cities/countries. This is fairly easy using email and USB drives, but when you have to do it every single day it is just a hassle.
Dropbox is a small program that run on your computer and automatically synchronize the content of 1 or more folders with a server and allow you to share that folder with other people.
This is done fully automatic, so when I create a video while at work and go home to eat dinner, I can turn on my laptop there, and within a couple of minutes the video will have been downloaded so I can continue work. I can then continue work on the video, and Dropbox will make sure when I turn on my computer at the office the next day the version of the video on my computer will be updated – And in case I mess something up Dropbox store old revisions of files, so I can always download a older version.
Dropbox Benefits
Where Dropbox really shine is when you need to share a lot of files with somebody else. Sending many/large files through email is a hassle, and uploading them to a server can be difficult if the other person aren’t tech savvy (you have to explain exactly how to do it, and spend time troubleshooting if something goes wrong).
Dropbox takes 5 minutes to install, and doesn’t require any technical skills besides being able to find a folder on your computer, and send an invite to share a folder.
The only real drawback of Dropbox is that the free version have a limited folder size of 2gb, and there aren’t any advanced permission control, so you can’t set up folders that other people can see but not upload their own files to.
